Join the Culinary Team at Fausto as a Pasta Cook! Fausto, a beloved neighborhood restaurant and wine destination on Flatbush Avenue in Park Slope, Brooklyn, is seeking a full-time Line Cook to join our kitchen team. Known for our market-driven menu, we focus on crafting elevated yet approachable dishes that highlight local and seasonal ingredients. We’re looking for a dedicated Pasta Cook who is passionate, goal-oriented, and shares our values in delivering a memorable dining experience. About the Role: As our Pasta Cook, you’ll be at the heart of our kitchen, responsible for preparing mise en place and cooking pasta at one of our two pasta stations five days a week, including weekends. This is a fantastic opportunity to immerse yourself in the craft of pasta-making, with plenty of room for growth and culinary exploration. What You’ll Do: Set up and break down your station with precision, ensuring everything is organized and ready for service Prep ingredients daily and assist with the weekly prep schedule to maintain our high standards Collaborate closely with the kitchen team to deliver outstanding food quality and consistency Embrace the opportunity to refine your skills, work with high-quality ingredients, and take pride in every dish you create What We’re Looking For: At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in a casual or fine dining setting Ability to multitask and stay composed under pressure A team player with a positive attitude who values hard work and camaraderie Physical stamina to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for over 6 hours Perks & Benefits: Competitive Pay: $22-$24 per hour based on experience Health & Dental Insurance: We take care of our team Commuter Benefits: Making your journey to work a little easier Dining Discount: Enjoy our menu on your days off!
